(The hill) – Amazon Web Services (AWS) went down Tuesday morning, leaving much of the internet dependent on the tech giant’s offline services.
The outage was still affecting sites through Tuesday afternoon, but Amazon said it was starting to see signs of recovery after tracing the root cause of multiple network devices in the eastern US region. .
On his health services dashboard, AWS posted a message at 7:35 p.m. ET saying, “With the network device issues resolved, we are now working to recover all impaired services. We will provide additional updates for impaired services in the appropriate Service Status Dashboard entry. »
Users have reported outage issues on Amazon’s own products, including its e-commerce website, Prime Music, Prime Video and Amazon Alexa, according to Detector down.
According to Down Detector, external websites hosted by AWS, including Disney Plus, Tinder, and Venmo, were also experiencing outage issues.
