  • She said she found it ‘hilarious’ and joked the dress was ‘made for Hagrid’ after posting online

A Nasty Gal customer who ordered a maxi dress hoping to dress like a ‘sexy fortune teller’ has revealed how she ended up with a giant dress “worthy of Hagrid” because it was so huge it hilariously overwhelmed her tiny size 12.

Nail and eyelash technician Demileigh Moore, 27, from Shirebrook, Derbyshire, bought the oversized maxi dress in size 12 last month to wear to a fancy dress party.

But the dress flooded her small frame with snaps showing her wearing the £12 cotton dress with the neckline brushing her navel while the sleeves fell over her fingertips.

The beautician modeled the dress in front of a client in her home salon and the pair cried with laughter over the dress, which Demileigh said is at least six dress sizes too big and is a size 24.

Disappointed Demileigh vowed to be more careful when ordering oversized clothes in the future as social media users joked it could only be a size 12 for the adorable giant Hagrid.

“I couldn’t stop laughing – it’s so funny. I opened it while working in a cabin in my backyard as an eyelash technician,” she explained.

“I was laughing so much because of his height.

“I think the girl I was doing the lashes for thought I was exaggerating too much but when she opened her eyes she took a picture and I put it on Facebook. Everyone found it hilarious too.

“We couldn’t stop laughing because we couldn’t believe how big it was. I ended up not wearing it.

I don’t know how they are so wrong. I don’t think they reach that size anyway.

“It wasn’t even two sizes too big, it had to be a size 24. It was just huge.

“Because it’s oversized, I don’t know if it was meant to be that size. There was a size 12 inside.

“It’s one shoulder and there’s a drawstring. People had said they’ve ordered oversized things before and they’ve pulled the drawstrings really tight, but honestly the sleeves were huge and even though I had squeezed them very hard, they would still have fallen off.
