Ex-convict with arsenal of weapons including assault rifles, parts and ammunition arrested in Rohnert Park – CBS San Francisco

ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) – Ex-convict arrested on litany of weapons charges after police and federal agents discovered a large cache of weapons in storage units he was renting in Santa Rosa, authorities said on Friday.

The package was addressed to Joshua Cargile, a resident of Rohnert Park, and contained three weapons suppressors in disguise and sold as auto parts, police said. Cargile is a convicted felon and on probation after pre-arrest for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Rohnert Park DPS officers and DHS agents searched Cargile and found another suppressor along with numerous other gun parts indicating the manufacture of illegal assault rifles.

Investigators also learned that Cargile had rented several storage units in Santa Rosa, and a search revealed a large cache of weapons that included: 6 rifles (consisting of rifles, shotguns, pistol and rifle short barrel), 9 suppressors, 10 high capacity magazines, 11 other magazines, 886 cartridges of various calibers, parts to build about 7 assault rifles, parts to build an AK-47 rifle and many other parts of the rifle. ‘fire arms.
