Fortune’s Keep lobby size increased in Warzone Season 5

war zone Fortune’s Keep has established itself as one of the most popular maps since its introduction, and Raven is increasing its player count across all game types in Season 5.

The addition of Fortune’s Keep has been welcomed with open arms by the community since its debut in Warzone Season 4. As a smaller, more forgiving option for Caldera matches, players quickly embraced the new map and called it “better than Rebirth Island”.

One of the most common calls has been for Raven to increase the player count, even allowing players to participate in a single match on Fortune’s Keep. Their wishes were briefly granted in July when the lobby size was increased, but it was part of a limited-time mode and they quickly reverted to the original setup.

Now, in Warzone Season 5, the last chapter before the arrival of Modern Warfare 2, the developers have made the decision to increase the number of players at all levels on Fortune’s Keep.

Prior to the Season 5 update, Fortune’s Keep could only accommodate a maximum of 40 players in Quads, and slightly more in matches with smaller teams:

  • Solo: 47
  • Duet: 46
  • Threesomes: 45
  • Quads: 40

Go forward, Raven chose to increase the size of lobbies in each different mode to make games even more frenetic, with Quads allowing 52 players to show up at once.

We’ve listed a full breakdown of the number of new players below:

  • Solos: 50 players
  • Duo: 50 players
  • Trios: 51 players
  • Quads: 52 players

These new lobby sizes should utilize Fortune’s Keep’s slightly larger size than Rebirth Island and help ensure the next fight is never too far away.

This isn’t the only change to the map in Warzone Season 5. The devs have also confirmed that they’re increasing the availability of supply boxes during matches, which means it should be much easier to find weapons, killstreaks, and cash from the jump.

Warzone Season 5 may well be the last of the battle royale season as we know it, but it’s great to see the developers making improvements until the end.

With a revamped Caldera and Umbrella Academy crossover to look forward to, Season 5 might be the best yet.
