Parts of the north, center and south without water during the closure of the Caroni plant


Residents of the northern, central and southern regions of Trinidad, served by the Caroni water treatment plant, will be without water until tonight due to an emergency shutdown of the factory.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said the disruption will facilitate emergency electrical maintenance work on the facility.

The work is expected to be completed by 9 p.m.

WASA said the affected areas include:
