Rainbow Six Siege Y6S3.4 update: release date, patch notes, size, and more


Rainbow Six Siege is back with another update and a number of changes have been made by the developers.

The first-person shooter is easily one of the most popular games on Steam right now and, at the time of writing, with an 86.9% rating on Steam Database with over 60,000 simultaneous players.

The last time in Y6S3.2, a series of bug fixes involving gameplay, operators, level design, and overall user experience – with some minor tweaks to NVIDIA-related performance metrics.

This patch barely covered 1 GB on Steam and on Ubisoft’s Connect platform. But the question is, will we get the same in Y6S3.4 or will there be other changes to the game?

Rework the HUD

Decreased size of the compass.
Automatically decrease the opacity of the action reminder when you are in ADS.
Added an opacity slider for action callbacks in the HUD Options menu.
Added the ability to choose an advanced or simplified compass from the HUD Options menu.

BUG FIXES

GAME

  • FIXED – Total ammo count is incorrect on some weapons.
  • FIXED – Movement speed when using ADS upside down is faster than right side while rappelling.
  • FIXED – Changing sensitivity in mid-game removes the ability to look in any direction in ADS mode.
  • FIXED – Assist is not counted for player who injures an opponent if a teammate puts the opponent in DBNO and then eliminates them.
  • FIXED – Barbed wire can be destroyed by allies when friendly fire is disabled.
  • FIXED – Muffled sound on some weapons.
  • FIXED – Some devices will not stop charging while in DSEG mode.
  • FIXED – Reinforcement hinges are invisible on one side and block bullets.
  • FIXED – Some gadgets do not break glass when deployed on a barricade.
  • FIXED – Threat indicator is not showing for a grenade dropped by an eliminated operator.
  • FIXED – Servers give priority to players with fast connection on the attacking side when creating the lobby. The attacking and defending sides will now be chosen at random.
  • FIXED – During the planning phase, selecting Confirm Load with Controller also picks up the defuser or drops it.
  • FIXED – Grenade indicator color can be incompatible with threat level.
  • FIXED – Bulletproof camera reticles are not visible to teammates and spectators.
  • FIXED – Electrical damage will not reactivate for a device disabled by an EMP if another electrical device is deployed and recovered during the duration of the EMP.
  • FIXED – Player’s camera pops out of the world after being eliminated when no drone is available.
  • FIXED – Laser sight remains visible in ADS.
  • FIXED – Barbed wire destroys defender’s secondary gadgets when deployed above them.
  • FIXED – The same controller input is used to remove the defuser and change capacitance mode.

LEVEL DESIGN

  • FIXED – Several LOD and LOS issues on various cards.
  • FIXED – Issues with planting and collecting the Defuser in specific areas on various maps.
  • FIXED – Exploitable gaps on various maps.
  • FIXED – Multiple clipping, collision, destruction, and asset issues on various maps.

BANK

  • FIXED – Attacker can instantly teleport from rooftop by dropping to bottom ledge and rappelling in.

CLUBHOUSE

  • FIXED – Valkyrie’s Black Eye cameras lose signal at the central staircase B. LODGE
  • FIXED – The hatch is destroyed when certain gadgets are deployed on it in Dining Room 1F.

KAFÉ DOSTOEVEVSKI

  • FIXED – An incorrect bombardment site is displayed when a defuser is planted in Bar 3F and Cocktail 3F.

OUTBACK

  • FIXED – Bulletproof Camera can be deployed inside an indestructible wall at the EXT Deck Balcony.
  • FIXED – AI will get stuck after spawning under BBQ on Covered Deck 2F in Practice Grounds.
  • FIXED – Stair panel is still present in 1F Reptile Corridor even though Stairs have been removed.
  • FIXED – Player cannot place deployable devices on the south wall of 1F Bike Repair.

SKYSCRAPER

  • FIXED – An attacker can cross the Red Banner when rappelling from the balcony of the EXT Shrine while carrying the hostage.

THE OPERATORS

  • FIXED – Various animation issues.

ARUNI

  • FIXED – Players can throw devices through the gap between a Surya door and the ceiling.

ASH

  • FIXED – Ash’s R4-C assault rifle total ammo count is incorrect.

ELA

  • FIXED – Grzmot Mines deployed by Ela appear in their undeployed state for a player joining a match in progress.

ROCKET

  • FIXED – Cluster load needs more space to deploy than expected. The reinforcement points and the edges of the holes block its deployment.

GOYO

  • FIXED – Goyo’s Volcán Shield cartridges remain present after being destroyed for a player joining a match in progress.

IQ

  • FIXED – Ping marker does not appear when IQ aims for edge of asset if it is behind an obstacle.

JACKAL

  • FIXED – Some inputs are no longer recorded when Jackal activates Eyenox at the edge of the Mute signal disruptor.

KALI

  • FIXED – LV Explosive Lance damage activates reverse friendly fire when it kills a teammate.

LESION

  • FIXED – Lesion Gu Mine maximum limit is 99.

MAESTRO

  • FIXED – Maestro’s Evil Eye window closes completely when disabled by Thatcher’s EMP.
  • FIXED – Maestro Evil Eye action reminder appears and flashes when the camera loses signal due to overheating.
  • FIXED – Maestro’s Evil Eye window does not automatically close after losing signal outside the building.

MOZZIE

  • FIXED – Mozzie is disabled due to crashes that occur when killing himself or a player.

MUTE

  • FIXED – Mute Signal Disruptor area of ​​effect is visible in Support Mode for Attackers and Defenders.
  • FIXED – Mute’s Signal Disruptor triggers multiple scores for the same gadget.

AOS

  • FIXED – Players are affected by Melusi’s Banshee when hiding behind the Talon-8 shield.

IMPULSE

  • FIXED – Pulse’s heart sensor is not appearing onscreen after a player has joined a match in progress.

SPIKED

  • FIXED – Thorn’s Razorbloom deployment effect produces cement particles regardless of surface material.
  • FIXED – Several animation and audio issues for Thorn.
  • FIXED – Discharged blades from Thorn’s Razorbloom Shell stick to the lens of a bulletproof camera.
  • FIXED – Thorn’s Razorbloom shells cut into each other when deployed too close to each other.

  • FIXED – Thunderbird can peek under cover without opponents seeing it when deploying a Kona Station.

VALKYRIE

  • FIXED – Valkyrie’s Black Eye Camera cannot be picked up if thrown into tight spaces.
  • FIXED – Valkyrie’s Black Eye gyroscope is moving while the camera is connecting.
  • FIXED – Valkyrie’s Black Eye Camera will display as disabled when a player joins a match in progress.

  • FIXED – Ying’s Candela model briefly respawns seconds after being destroyed.

  • FIXED – Zero’s smart ping is misplaced and out of phase when an Argus camera is placed on the ceiling.
  • FIXED – Laser dots appear above the sight when aiming for the sky with Zero’s Argus launcher.
  • FIXED – Zero’s Argus Camera appears as disabled when a player joins a match in progress.
