Russian troops shelled 54 settlements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions on May 19, killing 20 civilians.

This is according to the Ukrainian Joint Forces Facebook page, reports Ukrinform.

According to the post, Russian war criminals continue to destroy infrastructure in Ukraine’s Donbass region.

According to available information, Russian barbaric airstrikes and shelling over the past day have completely destroyed or damaged 105 residential buildings and 15 other civilian properties, including a hospital, a dormitory, a sports center, a shopping center, buildings a bank, a sanatorium, a regional education service, as well as an automobile company, storage facilities, a gas pipeline and cars.

It is stated that apartment buildings in Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Avdiivka and Bakhmut were significantly damaged.

In the Donetsk region, units of the state emergency services extinguished six fires caused by enemy shelling. In the Lugansk region, it was impossible to extinguish the fires due to the intensive shelling of the settlements.

“According to the latest information, about 20 civilians were killed and at least 50 were injured by enemy shelling. Provisionally, the number of casualties in Sievierodonetsk, Avdiivka, Lysychansk, Marinka, other towns and villages could be much higher The information is being clarified,” the Ukrainian joint forces said.
