Shell Theater Launches Programming for Fall 2021-22 Season –

The Shell Theater is preparing to welcome the public back to the auditorium.

They recently released their fall lineup for the 2021-22 season.

“We look forward to inviting all of our patrons back to the Shell Theater for these City of Fort Saskatchewan events,” said Shell Theater Supervisor Josh Gennings.

The season will kick off with singer-songwriter Michael Bernard Fitzgerald on October 16, followed by the group’s return, The Washboard Union, on November 6.

November 19 will be the first of two comedy nights on the lineup. It will star Adam Blank, Steve McGovern and Brad Semotiuk.

Finger guitarist Calum Graham will perform at the Shell Theater again on November 20, then at Ballet Victoria’s Nutcracker will have two performances on December 4.

Element Theater will present the crucible on December 9, and the second comedy night will end the season before the new year, with comedians like Noor Kidwai, Ryan Short and Mark McCue.

Christmas with the Barra MacNeils has been cancelled.

“It’s important to us that everyone knows that we’re doing everything we can to make sure everything is as safe as possible at the Shell Theater,” Gennings added. “That includes being part of the restriction waiver program.”

In addition to having to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, patrons will be required to wear masks in theater, and staff are increasing sanitization of high-touch areas.

The post-New Year lineup is slated for release in late November.
