Thunderstorms from Oklahoma head for parts of North Texas early Tuesday morning


Thunderstorms will become numerous in Oklahoma during the evening before moving southeast into parts of northern Texas overnight. The storms will weaken as they move through northern Texas, but gusty winds could accompany stronger storms.

Rain and thunderstorms will be associated with a cold front sweeping across North Texas early Tuesday. Tuesday’s high temperatures will only be in the 60s and below the 70s.

Rapid warming is expected Wednesday with a further risk of showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday through Thursday.

Dry and warmer weather arrives from Friday to the weekend. Weekend highs will be in the low to mid 90s.
